Inktober is here! First drawing. 31 days. 31 drawings. What is Inktober you ask? It’s a month long appreciation of the art of drawing in ink and the practitioners that embrace that art. No pencils, no water colors, no Photoshop, just the unadulterated black and white beauty of thick black ink on crisp white paper. Drawing with ink means commitment. There’s no hemming and hawing as to which pencil line you’re going to use, no sitting on the fence of values, no pussy footing with color. When you make your mark you better mean it. It’s black and white. True or false. On or off. And that’s what Inktober is all about.

The FiftyThree Paper update is here but disappointing in the area of drawing dots (or points) with the ink tool. The first image is the original size of a test I did with 1.5.3. Notice the tiny dots. Then I upgraded the system to 1.6.1 and did the same test. The dots are HUGE! This was the smallest I could get them. Both tests were done on the same drawing with the same pen (a Pogo Connect). You be the judge if this part of the upgrade is a good thing. For me, not so much. YMMV.
